Classroom sessions run in an air-conditioned hall seating a full batch, with projection for the case studies and demonstrations that make up the theory component. Practical drills — fire fighting, spill response and first aid — are conducted on site.

Training Program for Drivers Carrying Hazardous Goods and Substances

The initial training course required under Rule 9 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 for drivers engaged in the carriage of hazardous and dangerous goods. The course is conducted at our Varanasi centre, which is licensed by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh for this purpose.

Safety Training for Tanker Truck Driver and Helper

A one-day course for tanker truck (T.T.) drivers and their helpers, covering the loading, unloading and depot procedures specific to bulk liquid carriage.

Personal protective equipment and its correct use

The endorsement route

From course to endorsed licence.

A training certificate is not itself an authorisation to drive. It is what allows the Transport Department to endorse hazardous goods on your licence — and that endorsement is the thing an enforcement officer checks.

Hold a valid HMV licence

The endorsement is added to an existing heavy motor vehicle licence, so that must be in place first.

Complete the Rule 9 course

Three days at our Varanasi centre, covering classification, documentation, defensive driving and emergency response, with practical drills.

Pass the assessment

A written examination and a practical drill assessment at the end of the course. The certificate is issued on passing, not on attendance.

The Department endorses your licence

The State Transport Department endorses the carriage of hazardous goods on your driving licence. The endorsement is valid for three years.

Rule 9 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 requires a driver engaged in the carriage of hazardous or dangerous goods to have completed a course connected with the transport of such goods. The endorsement is valid for three years.
