We run batches at IOCL, BPCL, HPCL and GAIL depots, and the fleets contracted to them send drivers to our centres — as do independent transporters across India and Nepal.

Testimonials

What the operators who send us drivers say.

Transport companies, fleet operators and depot managers from across India and from Nepal, on the batches they have put through our programmes.

Dangerous Goods
We run petroleum tankers on the Chennai–Hosur route. Eighteen of our drivers went through the three-day course in two batches. The TREM card and emergency handling sessions were the parts our men had genuinely never been taught before.
VVel Murugan CarriersS. Muthukrishnan · Transport ManagerTiruvallur, Tamil Nadu18 drivers

Endorsement work used to take us weeks of running around. Here the training, the assessment and the paperwork were handled properly in one place, and the Transport Department accepted the certificates without a single query.
BBajwa RoadlinesJaswinder Singh Bajwa · ProprietorLudhiana, Punjab9 drivers
Dangerous Goods
We move corrosives and solvents out of the Ankleshwar belt, so our insurer and our clients both audit driver training records. Safe Road's documentation stands up to that scrutiny, which is why we keep sending batches.
NNarmada Chemical Transport Pvt LtdBharat Patel · DirectorAnkleshwar, Gujarat24 drivers
Dangerous Goods
We operate cross-border into Bihar and UP. Finding a centre that would train Nepali drivers and explain the Indian requirements clearly was the difficulty. The team here handled the documentation for our men as well as the training.
HHimal Cargo ServicesRam Bahadur Thapa · Operations HeadBirgunj, Nepal11 drivers
Dangerous Goods
There is a written examination at the end, which matters to us. We have sent drivers to places where the certificate arrives whether or not anyone learned anything. That is not the case here.
BBarak Valley Transport Co.Imtiyaz Ahmed Laskar · Fleet SupervisorSilchar, Assam7 drivers
Dangerous Goods
Port loading is our daily work, so we expected to know most of it. The spill containment and toxic release sessions still taught our crews something new. Only feedback is that winter batches need better classroom heating.
KKalinga Bulk CarriersSanjay Mohanty · Depot ManagerParadip, Odisha15 drivers
Tanker Crew Safety
Most training providers ignore the helper entirely. This course covers the helper's role in loading and earthing properly, and that is where a large share of our near-misses used to come from.
MMarine Petro LogisticsP. Vijayakumar · Safety OfficerKochi, Kerala22 drivers & helpers
Tanker Crew Safety
The static electricity and bonding session alone justified sending the whole crew. Our men had been doing it by habit for years without understanding why the procedure exists.
NNorth Bengal TankersBikash Chetri · PartnerSiliguri, West Bengal13 drivers & helpers
Tanker Crew Safety
LPG carriage leaves no margin for error. The practical drills were real — extinguishers actually discharged, spill response actually rehearsed — not a video screening with a signature sheet.
SSri Venkateswara Gas CarriersK. Prakash Reddy · Managing PartnerVisakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh16 drivers
Defensive Driving
They sent a trainer to our Guwahati depot and ran four batches over four days, so we never had to take the whole fleet off the road at once. The monsoon and night driving content was built around our actual routes.
BBrahmaputra Freight LinesNaba Kumar Das · General ManagerGuwahati, Assam40 drivers, on site
Defensive Driving
The accident case studies were the strongest part — our drivers recognised their own habits in them. If anything the one-day format is tight; we would take a two-day version if it were offered.
ZZoram CarriersLalrinmawia Ralte · Transport CoordinatorAizawl, Mizoram12 drivers
Defensive Driving
We thought desert highway running held no surprises for us. The braking distance and fatigue sessions changed how the whole team thinks about night runs. Our incident count is down since.

Sending drivers a thousand kilometres for training only works if the arrangements are reliable. Batches started on time, accommodation guidance was given in advance, and certificates were handed over before the men left.

Our oil marketing company contract requires certified drivers with valid endorsements on file. Safe Road's records are clean enough that our last contract audit raised nothing on driver training.

HMV Licence
We were struggling to recruit licensed HMV drivers locally, so we started sponsoring men through the programme instead. Training and testing happen on the same campus, which removed the RTO delays that used to hold us up.

Our commercial drivers need a licence that stands up to a passenger complaint. Putting them through the full four-week course rather than an agent has made a visible difference to how they drive.

Refresher Training
After one avoidable collision we put every driver through refresher training. They were assessed on the track and given written reports naming specific faults, which is what we needed to act on.

We sponsor rider training for women in our self-help groups. A separate morning batch and women trainers made the difference in getting families to agree to send them at all.

The track has a proper gradient and H-circuit, so the men are tested on the manoeuvres that actually matter. No agent, no side payments, and a fee schedule stated up front.

I put all twelve of my operators through it. Battery handling and passenger limits are now taken seriously. A short module on basic electrical faults would round the course out well.
